Life Changing Experiences

Viva Las Vegas – California & The Canyons

Dear parents of Westcoast Connection California and the Canyons,

It’s hard to believe that we are already nearing the end of the trip! With that in mind, we are all making the most of every minute we still have together. On Friday, we spent our day at the beach and took surf lessons. Victor, Andrew, Ludo and Cooper were amazing and rode wave after wave. Almost everyone got up on a board and had an incredible time at the beach. Of course, we also visited the famous San Diego Zoo where we saw polar bears, giraffes, tigers, and other exotic animals. Ethan and Nick got some hilarious monkey masks and entertained tourists at the food court. After playing some games in the park (with Roger coming in first place), we went to Ultrazone Laser Tag and had an awesome time. Jordan ranked highest out of everyone. That day also happened to be Rosey’s birthday. Of course, we continued our tradition of singing happy birthday over 20 times throughout the day. After a great time in California, we arrived in Las Vegas where, Jeremy, Louis and a few others went straight to the gym, while others including Josh G, Darby, Jen, and Josh B cooled off at the pool. After a bit of free time, we went for dinner at a delicious Italian Restaurant, which happened to be a favorite of Gene Simmons’ and many other celebrities, whose pictures were all over the walls. Afterwards, we spent our time at Gameworks, M&M World and the Coca Cola Store, where David showed off his juggling skills. Yesterday we explored the Las Vegas Strip, starting at Caesar’s Palace and the Forum Shops. We then walked to the Bellagio, and caught the beautiful fountain show out front, with Las Vegas’ Eiffel Tower standing tall in the background. Everyone watched in silence, and took a minute to reflect on how lucky we all are to be here. We then enjoyed the pool facilities and capped the night off with dinner at ‘New York , New York,’ and boarded some thrilling rides atop ‘The Stratosphere’ . Once again, we hope you are enjoying your summer as much as we are. Sadly, we will all be home in no time!

Best wishes,

Your Staff: Lauren, Michael, Louis, Jill, Carly, and Laura
