Hey Trip 16 Followers!
We’ve spent the last few days exploring the canyons! We began with a stop in beautiful Zion for lunch and a hike. After reaching our intended destination, the group was enjoying the hike so much that we pushed to see the second pool of water. As we continued onwards on the hike, the views got more and more amazing. Once we arrived at the second freshwater pool, the group was more than happy to wet their faces and hair to cool off. Our hike in Zion warmed us up for a challenging hike in Bryce that included longer trails and steeper climbs. Bryce Canyon was breathtaking, which made all the climbing and walking worth it. Soon after our Bryce hike, we returned to the campsite for a number of games. It was the Billy Butlers versus the Free Willies. The two groups competed ferociously in a number of events, including an arm wrestling competition, a rock-paper scissors showdown, an egg toss, an apache relay (complete with finding M&Ms in a bowl of flour – NO HANDS!), a human pyramid, a bite the bag contest, and completed with a staff roast (this was the group’s favorite part). After tons of laughs (and some tears of happiness), the Billy Butler’s took the crown. Our camping experience ended around the campfire with smores, some card games, and songs around the campfire (assisted by our amazing campsite manager Jacob and his guitar). We sang into the depths of the night and cooled off in the desert calm. The next day, we headed to see the world-wonder Grand Canyon. With its vast size and incredible depth, the group snapped some pics and took in the glory.
Now it’s off to Arizona for the Pink Jeep tour and some time by the pool. Thanks for reading!
