Dear Parents of California and the Canyons,The fun has been nonstop since we all landed in San Francisco! We are lucky to have Trip Members from all over the globe. It is going to be a very cultural experience having Valentine and Estelle from Belgium, Lucas from France and Blue and Hubery from China! We are looking forward to learning a lot from these individuals and all the Trip Members within the group. On Monday we had the chance to get to know each other by playing some games and icebreakers. Shortly after, we made our way to China Town located in San Francisco. We got off the bus and rode one of the iconic cable cars! Alison S. and Halli were caught with smiles on their faces enjoying this pretty neat experience. We then had the chance to explore China Town and buy some crazy souvenirs.
On our second day in San Francisco (Canada Day!) we had the chance to see the Golden Gate Bridge. We then made our way over to Sausalito, a little town with lots of shops, restaurants and filled with history. Alli showed some Canadian spirit and decorating skills this afternoon when the Trip Members iced and decorated cookies. Some individuals even caught some of the soccer game and watch the rivalry between Belgium and USA. Pretty great thing to have Estelle and Valentine from Belgium, made the experience pretty exciting for some of the others as well!
We made our way to Lombard Street, the most crooked street in the world! Well, we actually made our way up Lombard Street. Lucas, Olivia and Molly decided to race to the top! Later that day, we headed to bowling. Robert, Emma, Austin, Evan and Hanna were found striking it up and proved to be high score bowlers, way to go!
Well, that’s it for now! Looking forward to telling you about all of our adventures in a couple days!
