Viva Las Vegas!!! Burning hot temperatures, shopping and pool parties! We made it to the calmest city in America, where bedtime is always early and modesty is a law… at least for us that’s sort of how it went.
That night, after a yummy dinner at Buca Di Beppo, and still no drop in temperature, we headed to the Venetian to check out the impressive architecture. The hotel recreated the famous Italian city, complete with canals, gondolas, and boutiques.
What better way to see Vegas than by pushing our way through dressed up pedestrians en route to the Bellagio? The water music show was perfect. It appeared as each stream had it’s own rhythm and purpose that tied the show together. Each were graceful dancers scurrying around for a grand performance. Garrett was even caught glaring without a blink!
Chocolate and bedtime! The perfect routine. We headed back through the Bellagio to check out the largest chocolate fountain and Sophie and Alexa V. couldn’t resist! “One chocolate crepe please”…done!
The view of Vegas is something we had the opportunity to view various times throughout our two-day visit. The first was at the Stratosphere. California & the Canyons rode “The Big Drop,” “Insanity,” and “Xscream!” Kyle B. said he could have done “The Big Scream” again and again!
The only way to escape the Vegas dry heat is the pool – or the most entertaining way, at least. We rode around the lazy river, tossed a beach ball and refreshed until dinner. Packed with people, Romy even spotted a celebrity!
New York in Las Vegas??? Hot dogs, deli, chocolate shops and endless apartment buildings, Caelin and Charlie navigated well around the hotel as they ventured on a photo scavenger hunt. They found a newlywed couple, a big apple and many more New York landmarks! A fun game to keep our minds off the fact that we were about to ride the New York New York rollarcoaster.
The bright Vegas night lights, while looping and turning upside down? Jared couldn’t wait to take off! Ally impressed us all by taking a deep breath and taking on this three and a half minute speed race. Sheridan’s funny comments travelled all the way to the front cart and had us all laughing! But we did it! And even have the hilarious photos to prove it.
Goodnight and goodbye Vegas! We’ve already had a blast in Utah which has been a little (okay a large) change in pace. Will fill you in soon!
