One of the highlights on our North American Active Teen Tours with camping is sitting around campfire roasting s’mores … or making banana boats.
As it is a favorite of many of our travelers, we thought we’d pass along the recipe.
Cut a banana lengthwise (WCC tip – leave the skin on!) and stuff it with marshmallows (WCC tip – mini marshmallows work best!) and chocolate (WCC tip – Hershey’s chocolate bars are the only way to go!). Wrap the banana in aluminum foil and place it in the embers of a campfire for about 5 minutes, until the chocolate in melted.
WCC tip – if you’re at home and craving banana boats, you can cook them over on the barbeque or in a 300 degree oven for 5 minutes.
