Greetings from beautiful Prague, Czech Republic!
Our hotel is in a perfect location, just steps from the heart of the city’s Old Town Square. The square has a plethora of great restaurants, street performers and amazing architecture.
While we are all enjoying taking in the striking sights, Devon and Sophie T. are battling with our TD Nick to capture the most impressive photos.
We have been learning a great amount about the history of Prague and have been guided by a local woman named Alessandra. We toured the city, Jewish quarter, Prague castle and concentration camp, Terezin.
On Thursday, we made an impromptu stop at the John Lennon wall. We all had a chance to take some stunning photos at this spot. Maddie and Grace loved the singer performing at this wall, Thom Artway, who we are all excited to check out on youtube.
After soaking up the sun while paddle boating, we were entertained by a black light show downtown. We have enjoyed the local food, specifically, the beef goulash, the kebabs and the famous dessert, Trdelnik.
Sam has made the trip much easier by being our informal translator! He has amazed us all with his ability to speak multiple languages. Nicole’s favorite part of Thursday evening was when he was able to communicate in Chinese to new friends we had made!
We rounded out our Prague adventure with an exciting night of bowling, at which, Rose taught us all how to be a pro with a score of 175! We look forward to beginning a new chapter of our trip in Vienna tomorrow!
