Life Changing Experiences

Loving Los Angeles – American Voyageur

Hello Everyone!

We last left off on our way to Lake Tahoe where we had 2 days full of camping, beach time and cruising on the water. Upon arrival in Tahoe we setup camp, used some facilities and then started dinner – a delicious barbeque of salmon/steak/chicken. Our second full day in Tahoe was amazing.  We started off waterskiing, tubing and wakeboarding at the beach and everyone had a really fun time on the boats. Huge shout outs to all the first timers who tried skiing for the first time – you guys were amazing! Everyone managed to get up for at least a little bit! It was awesome to see the smiles on everyone’s faces behind the boat. After a gorgeous morning on the beach, we hopped aboard a bigger boat and cruised the lake for a couple hours in the sunshine. It was a really nice, relaxing day and we all felt very refreshed.

The next morning we headed out to LOS ANGELES! LA started off at Hollywood and Highland wherewe saw the famous Hollywood sign and strolled the Walk of Fame and saw lots of famous handprints and stars.  It was especially neat for those who had never been to Hollywood before. After our evening out, we headed to the Westin to checkin.

On our first full day we started with a great breakfast at UCLA and then had the unique opportunity to experience the Museum of Tolerance. The museum was a profoundly moving experience and the entire group was extremely respectful and receptive to what the speakers were saying.  After the museum we got to be just like the movie stars and went to the Grove and had a delicious lunch at the famous Farmer’s Market. Once again, we had fantastic weather and were able to enjoy walking around outside all afternoon. After the Grove we headed to Rodeo Drive, and finished off the day with a comedy show that was absolutely hilarious and had people almost falling out of their chairs with laughter at the Hollywood Improv.

Our second day in LA was spent at DISNEYLAND (after a great visit to Venice Beach).  The happiest and most magical place on earth did not disappoint and the fireworks and parade at the end of the day were truly spectacular. Everyone found something they loved about Disney; whether it was the actual park, the rides or just walking around; they really enjoyed themselves.

Our final day in LA, was spent at Universal Studios – the studio tour was so interesting! Everyone was amazed by all the movie sets and what goes on behind the scenes in movie production.  We all hit a bunch t2blog4of different rides and attractions and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine.  Last night we had an awesome meal at the Hard Rock Café followed by INCREDIBLE cookie ice cream sandwiches at the famous Diddy Riese near UCLA.  The ice cream was definitely well received – you could get so many flavors and everyone agreed it was the best ice cream sandwich they had ever eaten!

Today, we head out on the cruise – the long-awaited day has finally arrived and the whole group is WILDLY excited. Unfortunately we will be slightly off the grid for a bit but don’t worry, we are back on Friday and I’m sure we will have plenty of amazing stories for everyone back home!

Until next time!
