Dear Parents and Friends of Cali and the Canyons,
We can safely say that our Vegas experience was unlike the shenanigans that Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis endured during their trip to the desert.
Before we spill the beans about Las Vegas, let us first touch upon the beauty and adventure that was San Diego. Our second day was a surfing day and everyone donned their wet suits and hung ten while learning how to surf. Everyone was so impressive considering it was the first time for most. As the tide drew in closer and the waves got bigger, we decided it was about time to head out to Las Vegas.
On arrival into Sin City, our trip was amazed by the size and wonder of this desert town. After a quick stop at our hotel, we made our way down to the pool where we hit the lazy river for a quick float. That night we visited NY NY and walked one end of the strip amongst the lights. The next day we went to Vegas’s number one attraction, Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace, where our group got the chance to tour “Rome” and watch the moving statues.
After a night of walking the strip, with visits to the canals of the Venetian, the dancing fountains of Bellagio, and the Volcano at Mirage, we headed back to rest up for the final stretch of our trip.
Zion and Bryce was an incredible opportunity for our trip members to experience the beauty and wonder of the National Parks. Back at our campsite, having already done four nights of camping, our trip hit the ground running, getting our tents up and dinner ready faster than they ever have before. We were lucky enough to celebrate two birthdays under the stars in Utah. Happy Birthday Emma S and Max!
Our second day in Utah saw the group hiking the majestic passages of Bryce Canyon, with plenty of opportunities for amazing pictures. At night, we travelled to Kanab, also known as Little Hollywood, where Josh B, Chase, and Ian used the mock western sets to film their very own spaghetti western!
With our canyon experience coming to an end, we traveled yesterday to the Grand Canyon. After many amazing pictures were taken, and some height fears conquered, we made our way to Flagstaff for a little R&R before the end of our 21-day adventure. As our trip sadly is approaching its final few days, our trip members are savoring their final moments together. Scottsdale, here we come, whether you’re ready for us or not!
