Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we’re turning up the heat on Trip 14! On Friday we headed for the Arizona desert and began our day in the town of Sedona. The trip members all boarded Pink Jeeps and zoomed out into the rocks and sand for exceptional views and a true off-road experience. One of the coolest tricks the jeeps attempted was maneuvering down a steep rock and descending at almost 90 degrees. You definitely don’t see that every day!
That night, the trip members arrived at their final stop in Scottsdale and enjoyed dinner and games at Dave and Busters. Trip members challenged each other in friendly competition and some worked together to master the tough arcade games.
On Saturday morning, we awoke to the final day in this trip of a lifetime. Trip members soaked up the sun at the pool and began packing their bags for the journey home. Tonight, we have a lavish banquet event planned with music, dancing, and time for goodbyes.
Although 21 days have passed it seems like just yesterday we met and came together as a family. After all the sight-seeing, exploring, and friend-making, it’s the airport that we’re headed to again. As a staff group we’ve got to see your children grow and challenge themselves during this adventure and have the best summer of their lives. We know that they’ll come home with fantastic memories to last for years to come!
