Barcelona PCE says goodbye.
The Westcoast Blogger
We have finally arrived at the quaint beach resort of Sitges and are preparing for the farewell banquet festivities tonight.
Our last week in Barcelona was amazing! We spent an afternoon in the gorgeous Parc de la Ciutadella where Matt, Mike, Dylan, Austin, Jared and Luke kicked around the soccer ball with some locals. Alana, Steph, Emma and Lisa took the tram up to Mont Tibidado just above our residence and soaked in the spectacular views of the city one last time.
Friday night we enjoyed a flamenco opera show at the World Heritage sight Palau de Musica in downtown Barcelona. Our staff treated us to prime seats; Christin, Stacy, Natasha and Sara raved about it the rest of the evening. We dined at the Hard Rock Cafe first and danced at a late night jazz club in the gothic quarter. Deni, Carly, Ben, and Nicole loved the music.
Saturday morning we were off to Sitges and arrived just in time for lunch. Ellie, Justin, Amanda and Rosie found a favorite restaurant on the beach boardwalk while Jen and Cale sun bathed. Mickey, Darren and Harrison preferred lounging by the hotel pool all afternoon. Last night we had our last group dinners and partied ‘til the wee hours of the manana, dancing away at a local disco.
Today was our last chance to tan and tonight we dine at Port Sitges and enjoy the closing ceremonies we have all taken part in planning for this special evening.
It’s going to be a late night but we are excited to spend these last hours with our wonderful staff and all the new friends we’ve made. Tomorrow it’s off to the airport early to say our final goodbyes!
After a long, incredible experience, we’re excited to see you, but sad to leave Spain behind!
Hasta pronto on Monday!
