What an amazing week we had on board the Carnival Legend! As soon as we boarded, we knew we were in for a great time. Our first day at sea was spent playing basketball, hitting the gym, swimming, and going on the waterslides. Everyone had a great time, and we all got a chance to explore the ship! That night was our first formal dinner, so everyone put on their finest clothes. Everyone looked great, and the pictures definitely prove it!
The next day, we were cruising through Tracy Arm Fjord. We saw beautiful views of mountains, glaciers and icebergs as we went through! Our first stop was in Skagway, where we learned all about sled dog racing and the famous Alaskan race, Iditarod. After, we got a chance to play with the Alaskan husky puppies, which was definitely a highlight for those who love dogs! This was followed by gold panning, where the trip members gathered gold and then weighed it to see how much money they could make if they sold it. Before heading back on the boat, we explored the quaint town which is home to roughly 1000 people.
The following day, we stopped in Juneau to go whale watching. It was extremely cool to get so close to the whales and watch them swim! We then had time to walk around the town of Juneau.
Our sea kayaking adventures in Ketchikan occurred the next day. It was a great experience to go kayaking with a friend and exploring some islands! Some of the trip members even got a chance to hold a starfish. We then boarded the boat and got ready for our final formal night on the ship. Our last day at sea was fun, as everyone got a chance to explore and do activities on board one more time. After dinner, we got off the ship to explore the beautiful city of Victoria, British Columbia. We got back on the boat for our final night of fun and endless pizza!
We made our way off the ship in Seattle and started heading to Wild Waves for some waterpark and amusement park fun. It was a great way to spend our last day as a trip family! Last night, we had our final dinner and closing ceremonies. We’re sad to say goodbye to all the friends we’ve made, but we know that we’ll all keep in touch and remember all of the fun times we had together!
