Howdy from Colorado!
We’ve had a rocking time in Boulder, Colorado, and we are now en route to Jackson Hole, Wyoming! The past few days have been full of creative icebreaker games that encouraged new friendships to be formed within our group. Once we arrived in Boulder, we started off by exploring Pearl Street’s unique street art, performers and cute shops. We’ve been enjoying some college town favorites, and riding the awesome roller coasters at Elitch Gardens, too.
After landing in Denver we headed to the University of Colorado at Boulder where everyone got their first taste of college life, as we stayed in the dorms. That night we went to Jumpstreet, which is a trampoline park, where the boys especially enjoyed playing basketball and dodgeball on the trampolines and everyone enjoyed riding the mechanical bull. A few trip members even lasted the full 30 seconds on the bull!
At Elitch Gardens, many of us enjoyed riding the crazy roller coasters. A few even braved the Mind Eraser; a roller coaster that’s full of drops, loops and spins. At the park, David was mistaken for the celebrity Johnny Orlando so several people asked to take photos and get his autograph! After a fun day at the park we headed to The Sink, a restaurant famous for appearing on The Food Network’s ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’. Everyone enjoyed the food and got the chance to sign their names on the ceiling.
Today, as we head off to Wyoming, we are also celebrating Matt’s birthday! We’ve celebrated with a fun bus celebration, where he got to spin the birthday wheel (and he won the chance to pie a staff member in the face!) and by eating birthday cake.
So far, we’ve had an amazing time in Boulder and we’re looking forward to enjoying the sights of Yellowstone and the Tetons tomorrow!
Until next time,
