Our trip continues with great sites, lots of laughs, and friendships that will last a lifetime. We continued on our journey leaving the beautiful lights of Paris for the rustic mountains of Tignes. Upon arrival in the breathtaking French Alps we found a fabulous local French restaurant where Kyle and Thomas ordered dinner for everyone demonstrating their mastery of the French language. The next morning we hit the slopes where Sophie and Omi showed their impressive skiing skills, with run after run of carved turns. After taking the Funicular down the mountain Alec, Max, and Ben dominated on the basketball court while Hanna and Julia laughed the day away jumping around on the giant trampoline. Brenner and Lizzie were big fans of our surpirse bowling tournament, getting strike after strike without even trying. After an adventourous time in Tignes, it was time to say “au revior” to France and head across the border to Switzerland.
Our first stop in Geneva offered all the students the opportunity to try an authentic Swiss meal of chesse fondue, although we think Daniel and Sabrina liked the choclate fondue dessert best. Chad and Matthew debated the finer points of international relations as we toured the United Nations asking questions of our veteran tour guide, who seemed to know the answer to everything. A scenic train ride later we arrived in the town of Interlaken, surrounded by beautiful mountains. We are looking forward to white water rafting, rock climbing, and the 360 Student Talent show.
