Our summer camps and programs combine the structure and supervision that parents expect from a great summer camp with the excitement and growth opportunities of travel. Whether on an Active Teen Tour, Pre-College, or Community Service program, participants build friendships, confidence, and independence together while visiting new places with outstanding leaders. The result is an unforgettable summer that delivers the best of the traditional sleepaway camp experience, elevated through travel.
We manage risk by adhering to our well-documented and continuously evolving safety protocols, supported by international experts like Cornerstone Safety Group. Our vendors and suppliers are required to pass a meticulous safety review to partner with us, and our staff training and selectivity are second-to-none. During the summer, our two dedicated communication centers monitor each group daily and act as the 24/7 communication link for parents.
Learn More About SafetyWe welcome middle school and high school students from around the world (ages 12-18) to join our summer camps and programs. To create the best-possible social dynamics, we assign specific grade groupings to departures. Additionally, exclusive departure dates are available on select programs for middle school students and older teens completing grades 11 and 12.
Filter Camps by GradeYes, many participants choose to travel independently! We have a Social Integration Plan in place with a heavy focus on the first few days to help all students acclimate to the program. We do many icebreakers and ‘get to know you’ activities, will assign roommates and rotate them and more – lots of initiatives on our part to help advance things socially and build the community! The following video & reviews may be helpful if you’re considering traveling independently.

Our staff are educators, guidance counselors, coaches, college and university students, former camp counselors, residence life coordinators, community volunteers, world travelers, and other leaders with diverse backgrounds. Many are former participants themselves who couldn’t get enough of the Westcoast experience! Learn more about our summer leaders.
The staff ratio on our programs is 1 staff to every 6-9 participants, depending on the program type and itinerary. That does not include the additional local guide who joins us daily in Central & South America, Asia, Greece, Iceland, Fiji, and New Zealand. We also schedule supervisory visits during the summer that give our staff and programs additional support. Last year we had over 243 scheduled support visits by experienced team members to help programs achieve consistent excellence.
On all programs, we include all lodging, recreation & entertainment that is listed, airport transfers in the arrival city and return city for flights in our approved times, gratuities and taxes.
We include breakfast & dinner daily. For lunches, it ranges from none to all included; please check the specific program.
