Since ancient times, Italy has been at the center of history, culture and art. A deep history with a profound love of modern life. Italy is home to a staggering number of tourist wonders of our world—UNESCO World Heritage Sites, churches, forts and castles. Countless museums and archaeological sites. Historic monuments and beloved renowned paintings. And the physical landscapes are exceptional, too. Beaches, mountains, and with thousands of miles of incredible coastline, the sea. Charming rustic towns, fascinating urban centers, and romantic cities. Delicious world-famous cuisine and perfect espressos. A love of life that is moving and infectious. Italians like to appreciate the finer things in life. And Italy has many fine things to be appreciated.

Italy flourished during the Renaissance, producing famous scholars and artists such as, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo, Michelangelo, and Machiavelli, while Italian explorers such as Marco Polo and Christopher Columbus discovered new routes to the New World.
