Program Director

Program Directors (PDs) have the highest level of responsibility with their group in the summer. PDs oversee everything including, but not limited to, the health, safety, and enjoyment of each and every participant, and the execution of the itinerary as planned and outlined by WCC. PDs are responsible for managing a team of staff through coaching, supervising, and providing on-going feedback. PDs serve as a representative of WCC on the road and act as our liaison to suppliers, outfitters, and vendors. PDs also communicate regularly with parents, company supervisors, and the summer communication center.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Westcoast Connection or similar group management/team-based experience
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and building a strong, cohesive staff team
  • Ability to create a very positive social environment for teenagers
  • Ability to manage a budget and account for funds
  • 23 years of age or older
  • Summer camp experience (an asset)
  • Travel experience (an asset)

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be available for the following mandatory in-person training days:
    • NEW Director training (in Toronto/Montreal) – April 18 or 19
    • Director Training (in Montreal) – April 24-26
    • All Staff Precamp Training (in Montreal) – May 29-31
