We have teamed up with Centro Panamericano de Idiomas (CPI) to give you a unique educational experience in two of their campuses in very diverse regions of the country – Heredia in the Central Valley and the beach town of Flamingo on the Pacific Coast. This variety ensures you enjoy diverse excursions to complement your in-class instruction. Whether you are whitewater rafting, building bunk beds for children or chatting with “ticos”, you are sure to improve your Spanish and have an unforgettable experience!

What better place to learn the beautiful romance language of French than in the second largest primarily French-speaking city in the world after Paris? Whether you are ordering the local favorite, poutine, in a restaurant or shopping at Atwater Market, Montreal offers plenty of opportunities for French language practice. After an assessment is administered on the first day, you will be grouped with other students according to your appropriate level. Attention will be given to grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing with the ultimate goal of enhancing your verbal skills. As the French language is spoken on five continents, this will become a universally accepted skill for your future career or educational directions. We don’t just want you to know Français; we want you to be able to use it!

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) CLASS is designed to increase your overall fluency through real experiences with North American culture. Improve your vocabulary and pronunciation, review proper grammatical structures, and practice your writing skills.

TOEFL PREPARATION CLASS is designed for non-native English-speaking students interested in attending an English-speaking college or university and to help prepare for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Our instructors guide you and offer you test-taking strategies, help you familiarize yourself with the test, and allow you to practice all sections of the exam.

As part of the Pre-College Enrichment Montreal program, Community Service is available as a morning course, along with your choice of an afternoon course. Work with youth at the Boys & Girls Club and get a taste of college life as you enjoy McGill University’s facilities including the athletics & recreation center. During your free time, explore the vibrant city of Montreal and have fun with fellow pre-college students on weekend excursions and day trips, all included in your tuition.

Immerse yourself in the community and authentic culture of a small rainforest town in Costa Rica as you plan and run a day camp for local children in Monteverde. This experience offers a specialized avenue to work with children in a formalized role. You will develop and execute leadership skills acting as both a camp counselor and activity specialist. Outside of camp, explore Costa Rica, zip-line high above the forest canopy, whitewater raft, surf the Pacific and relax in natural hot springs.
