As part of the Pre-College Enrichment Montreal program, Community Service is available as a morning course, along with your choice of an afternoon course. Work with youth at the Boys & Girls Club and get a taste of college life as you enjoy McGill University’s facilities including the athletics & recreation center. During your free time, explore the vibrant city of Montreal and have fun with fellow pre-college students on weekend excursions and day trips, all included in your tuition. Enjoy a final week in Boston during our College Preview Week that includes six campus visits and Boston activity highlights.

What better place to learn the beautiful romance language of French than in the second largest primarily French-speaking city in the world after Paris? Whether you are ordering the local favorite, poutine, in a restaurant or shopping at Atwater Market, Montreal offers plenty of opportunities for French language practice. After an assessment is administered on the first day, you will be grouped with other students according to your appropriate level. Attention will be given to grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing with the ultimate goal of enhancing your verbal skills. As the French language is spoken on five continents, this will become a universally accepted skill for your future career or educational directions. We don’t just want you to know Français; we want you to be able to use it!

Imagine the world of possibilities this test opens up to you! This test demonstrates you have the English language skills necessary for an academic classroom. Our instructors guide you and offer you test-taking strategies. They help familiarize you with the test and allow you to practice all sections of the exam. However, don’t expect to spend your entire summer in the classroom! With this Pre-College Enrichment program, take advantage of the incredible athletic facilities and discover the sights and energy of Montreal during the summer! Peru is one of the most spectacular and geographically diverse countries in the world. From exploring the Amazon Jungle to kayaking on sacred Lake Titicaca at 12,500’ in the Andes, and to sand boarding and dune buggying in the desert oasis of Huacachina, we experience it all! Of course there is our fascinating visit to the ancient archaeological treasure of Machu Picchu! But above the beauty and history are the community service with friendly Peruvians who greet us warmly and welcome us as we interact with local children to make this a most meaningful and memorable summer!

Not to mention snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef and trying an intro SCUBA dive, swimming through waterfalls, and climbing to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Experience the natural and cultural richness of Ecuador with your arrival in Quito, the first city to be declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Straddle the Northern and Southern hemispheres at the same time, and be one of the privileged travelers to visit the Galapagos Islands where we explore the home of Darwin’s theory of evolution and observe many unusual species of animals. Bring your sense of adventure as we river tube and zip line in the cloud forest. Dive into community service projects working alongside locals, on the spectacular Galapagos Islands and in the communities of Quito and Latacunga. The warm and friendly natives welcome us as we interact with local children, seniors and indigenous villagers.
